We went on a trip to San Diego for my Dad's work convention.

Once we arrived, we went on a walk around the downtown and Gaslamp area. We visited the San Diego Zoo, Mission Beach, and the USS Midway. The convention had an event at Petco Park, where the San Diego Padres play, so I got to explore the stadium when it was empty.

We flew from Toronto to Kona with a layover in between. Once we landed, we got our rental car and groceries at Costco, then went to our accommodations and had dinner on Ali’i Drive with a sunset view.

Swimming in the morning, then we shopped at the Waikoloa Beach Resort area, about an hour away from where we were staying. We stayed at this resort on a previous visit and wanted to see it again on this trip.

After arriving in San Francisco, we took the streetcar from Chinatown to Fisherman's Wharf Area, where we spent the rest of the day walking and shopping, specifically in all the great magnet stores, which is where I bought a lot of these. We saw the seals and Alcatraz Island from afar.

Breakfast at Loris Diner, a 50s-style diner opened in 1986. We had a guide to take us around the city. We got to see the Ant-Man house, The Princess Diaries high school, the Mrs. Doubtfire house, the Palace of Fine Arts from the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition, and the Lucasfilm Campus at the Letterman Digital Arts Center, which had a bunch of Star Wars memorabilia.

We stopped on Marine Dr, right along the water, to see the Golden Gate Bridge. We drove on the bridge to go to the Muir Woods National Monument.

We drove back across the bridge to Alamo Square and The Painted Ladies, then to the Twin Peaks lookout. That night, we went to a San Francisco Giants game at Oracle Park.

Shopping at the San Francisco Centre mall. In the evening, we took the boat to Alcatraz Island and took a tour of the island and the prison.
